Important instructions for proper battery usage
- Use the correct type specified by the manufacturer by the respective device size and batteries. Make sure not to use different types of batteries.
- Keep battery contact surfaces clean by using an eraser or a rough cloth, rub this every time you change the battery.
- Remove the battery from the device if it is several months not expected to be in Operation.
- Remove the battery from the device if it is operated with (alternating) current.
- Make sure the battery is inserted into the device properly aligned and the plus (+) and minus (-) poles pointing in the correct direction. CAUTION: Some devices that are operated with more than three batteries seem to work well when a battery is not inserted correctly.
- Store batteries dry at normal room temperature. Do not freeze batteries; thus they do not keep longer!
- Extreme temperatures reduce battery performance. Avoid it to spend battery-operated devices to very warm places.
- Keep the batteries away from fire. A too great heat load can let batteries explode.
- Some dead batteries and those that are exposed to extremely warm temperatures may leak. A crystalline structure may be formed on the outside of the battery.
- Avoid charging up again, except they are clearly marked "rechargeable."
- Pay attention batteries neither deform or use deformed batteries on this. Don't try to open or to short-circuit the batteries for physical reasons.
- Batteries are not toys! Keep away from babies and small children! It could eventually consist of swallowing.
If you come in contact with battery acid, follow these instructions:
- After contact with skin, wash the battery acid with plenty of soap and water from the affected area. Remove any contaminated clothing. In the case of health complications, such as skin irritation, please contact a doctor.
- If battery acid contact with the eye you avoid unnecessary rubbing. Flush the affected eye with plenty of water (15 minutes) and contact an ophthalmologist.
- If you inhale steam from the battery acid, you go out into the fresh air. In upcomming nausea or dizziness, contact a doctor.
- If battery acid swallow, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately! Follow the instructions! Do not induce vomiting! If another person who swallow battery acid and be unconscious, administer this no water!
